Important distinction

NSW Bank Holiday: Monday 3 August 2026

The NSW Government lists the Bank Holiday because it affects retail bank branches and certain financial institutions. It specifically notes that the Bank Holiday is not a declared public holiday, so it should not be presented as a general statewide day off.
